It's a Sin is coming to
Liverpool
It’s a Sin comes to The Liverpool Empire from 6 to 10 April 2027, the first English date after the company returns from Luxembourg and the start of a run of spring dates across the country.
Rambert’s new work is inspired by the award-winning Channel 4 series by Russell T Davies. It follows Ritchie, Roscoe, Colin and Jill from the night-lit freedom of 1980s London into the years when the AIDS crisis reshaped their lives, and it tells the whole of that story through dance.
The company behind it has been making experimental work since 1926 and is approaching its centenary. This production is directed and choreographed by Rambert’s Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer, with Kaite O’Reilly as dramaturg and Jill Nalder, whose own life partly inspired the original series, as consultant.
The production contains strong language, sexual content, partial nudity, and themes of HIV and AIDS, grief and homophobia.
Tickets for Liverpool are on sale now.
