It’s a Sin runs at the Birmingham Hippodrome from 27 April to 1 May 2027.

Rambert’s dance work is drawn from the Channel 4 series by Russell T Davies. Four friends make a life together in 1980s London, in a world of music and abandon where everything feels possible, and then the AIDS crisis arrives and love, fear and defiance collide.

It is directed and choreographed by Benoit Swan Pouffer and performed by Rambert’s dancers. Pet Shop Boys, Russell T Davies and Glyn Fussell are executive producers, and Roman GianArthur is composer and music supervisor.

The work has been made possible by major support from the Colwinston Charitable Trust’s 30th Anniversary Fund, and by Arts Council England’s Incentivising Touring scheme, which exists so that large-scale productions reach audiences outside London.

Please note the production contains strong language, sexual content, partial nudity, and themes of HIV and AIDS, grief and homophobia.
